Linux Server
Job Requirement :-
Good hands on experience on Red hat Linux enterprise V5 System administration and trouble shooting.
NFS and NIS administration q SAMBA and FTP administration.
Virtualisation - VMWARE ESX .
Troubleshooting on issues belongs to virtual servers.
RAID and LVM Management q Experience in AUTOFS.
DNS server administration.
Apache Server administration .
Squid proxy server administration.
To carry out the scheduled activities like Patch management, Log file rotation.
Skill set:
Technical
1 - Very good knowledge of different versions of Window / Non Windows Operating Systems such as Windows Server 2003 & 2008.
2 - LDAP, AD, DHCP, DNS, Kick Start server, NIS, NFS etc.
3 - Application installation, configuration & troubleshooting such as TFS, SharePoint, MS Visual Studio.
4 - Patch management & vulnerability assessment.
5 - Monitoring tools & reporting.
6 - Database knowledge such as MSSQL, MYSQL, DB2 or Oracle.
7 - Knowledge of MAC OS – Installation, Configuration & Troubleshooting.
8 - Knowledge of Different variants of Linux such as SuSe, Redhat, Fedora & Ubuntu.
9 - Good knowledge about Virtualization Technics such as VMWare etc.
10 - Exposure to End User Support Services in Customer Domain for at least 3-4 years.
11 - Applications knowledge like MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
Process & Operation:
1- Knowledge of IT Service Request, Problem and Change Management processes.
2- Awareness about ITIL Framework.
3- SLA, OLA & Other Operational Knowledge.
